Minyan & Kiddish in the Western
Suburbs

Sunday, August 28, 2022, 10 AM • 1 Elul 5782
On the first day of Elul, Temple Har Zion will have morning minyan in the far western suburbs, at the home of a synagogue member. We will serve breakfast, and at the end of service, we will blow the first shofar of the season! Please come, and invite all of your friends and family from the western suburbs.

Shofar in the Park

The shofar is blown at minyan every day during the month of Elul, so what better way to welcome the month with shofar blowing? We will start at the temple at 3 PM, and move on to Austin Gardens and Scoville Parks. Walk with us, starting at the temple at 3 PM, or meet us at one of the parks.

Dessert and Musical Selichot Service

Usher in the High Holy Day season with an in-person/streamed Musical Selichot Service. We will start at 8:30 PM with dessert on the terrace. Then, at 9:30 PM, we will go to the sanctuary for a Musical Selichot service featuring a 5-piece ensemble, providing inspiring musical accompaniment to the contemplate liturgy of the season.
