Childcare

Babysitting for children up to age 5 (we are labelling this kiddos as "preschool" age, whether or not they are in preschool). During the High Holy Day services is available by prior reservation only.

Every child in the care of the shul must have an adult who is responsible for them in the temple building at all times.

Register

You must register your preschool children to use Temple Har Zion childcare. We must have accurate registration numbers to plan adequately.

The deadline for registration for Rosh Hashanah services is Wednesday, September 13 and for Yom Kippur services it is Wednesday, September 20. PLEASE DO NOT  expect to be able to just drop your children off when you arrive for services. It is essential that you register your child(ren)!

You must remain in the building while your children are being cared for at Har Zion.

In addition to childcare, Temple Har Zion offers Camp Shana Tovah, which offers age-appropriate services/programs for preschoolers (on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, September 16, and on Yom Kippur, September 25), and also for school-aged children to grade 7 (on both days of Rosh Hashanah, September 16-17, and on Yom Kippur, September 25).  Registration is required to attend Camp Shana Tovah services; please go to the Camp Shana Tovah page to sign your children up.

Continue below to sign your preschool children up for High Holy Day childcare.

Children are welcome in the Har Zion main services, but if you would prefer to have your older children to have an alternative to attending services, Camp Shana Tovah offers supervised activities for school-aged children (kindergarten to 7th grade) from the end of the children's services until the end of the main services on both days of Rosh Hashanah and the morning services on Yom Kippur. Registration is required; go to the Camp Shana Tovah page to sign your children up.

Please use the following to let us know how many preschool age children you will have in the temple's care during these services:

Erev Rosh Hashanah, 9/15, 6:30 PM
   Rosh Hashanah, Day 1, 9/16, 10:30 AM
   Rosh Hashanah Day 2, 9/17, 10 AM
   Kol Nidre, 9/24, 7 PM
   Yom Kippur, 9/25, 10:30 AM
Please tell us what we need to know about the younger, preK, children that you will have in our care: name(s), drop off and pick up time(s) and date(s)/services(s), and whatever else you think we should know about your child(ren).

Do your child(ren) wear diapers? Please indicate in the box above if they do.
We request a minimum donation of $18 per child per service to defray some of these costs so we can continue to offer this programming in the future.
