High Holy Days 2022/5783: Writing your Loved Ones' Names in the 5783 Book of Remembrance
Yizkor is a time we remember and honor our departed loved ones. Traditionally we make a donation in their memory, “Ehtain Tzedakah bah-ah-dah...I will donate charity in her or his sake.”
If you would like to include the name(s) of your loved ones in our Book of Remembrance, please fill out the form below (or contact the office) at office@wsthz.org or 708.366.9000, by Monday, September 12 (or until we've closed the form). The minimum requested donation is $20 per name. Thank you!
Again this year we will be incorporating a section where we will acknowledge your tributes to loved ones by listing them under your name. (Look at last year's book as an example.)
And new this year—you can to add a personal message or greeting this year along with your list. We are planning on adding space for a sentence or two (literally, one line) to include your message to the congregation. We are requesting a minimum additional donation of $36 to share your and/or your family's words within the book.
If you are able to contribute more than the suggested amount for your memorial names, or if you would like to assist in underwriting the cost of producing the Book of Remembrance for the congregation, please consider increasing your donation. The cost of producing the book has escalated recently.
